Barcelona Ready for First Game at Partially Completed Camp Nou over the weekend
Barcelona have announced they will play at the still-under-construction Camp Nou this Saturday. They will welcome the Basque side in La Liga 30 months after they moved out so building work could begin.
“We envisioned this comeback. The moment has arrived. Home again at Spotify Camp Nou.”
Attendance will be limited but 45,401 spectators will be allowed to watch based on approved permits. When completed, it will accommodate almost 105,000 spectators, up from the previous 99,000. The club said finished work included a renovated tunnel for players plus modern locker rooms.
Recent Activities
Barça organized a fan-accessible workout on the home pitch in early November. The club said they are seeking authorization from European football’s governing body for their upcoming Champions League fixture against Eintracht Frankfurt next month in the renovated venue. Their recent games have been held at the Olympic Stadium.
