Ex- Doctor Charged with Sexual Assault Allegations Against 38 Individuals in His Care
Prosecutors have stated that a former doctor has been charged with committing sexual assaults against 38 individuals who were patients.
Details of the Grave Allegations
Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham faces allegations of dozens of sexual offences – some of which involve acts against minors under the age of thirteen – spanning the period from 2017 and 2021.
One senior prosecutor commented, “Legal teams have worked at length to support a detailed and complex investigation, meticulously examining the available evidence to establish that there is a strong case to bring the case to trial and that it is in the interest of justice.”
The Police Inquiry
The charges come after what investigators called a “complex investigation” into alleged assaults at two hospitals: a hospital in Stoke-on-Trent and a facility in Dudley.
The defendant is due to appear at the local magistrates' court on January 20th.

Prosecutors outline the 45 charges include:
- 15 counts of assault.
- Seventeen counts of penetrative assault.
- Nine counts of assault on a minor under thirteen.
- Three counts of penetrative assault on a child under thirteen.
- 1 count of attempted penetrative assault.
